I have my bachelors and masters degrees in Music Education with a concentration in piano pedagogy from the Crane School of Music.
I am a general music teacher in the public schools and teach piano lessons part time. Presently at school I teach kindergarten through 4th grade general music, grade 5/6 choirs, and am the director of the high school jazz choir. I also teach at the Suzuki Institute in Kingston Ontario, Canada during the summers. I teach private piano lessons, repertoire classes and give parenting lectures at the institute.
This past year I was a guest clinician for piano studios and schools in Auckland, New Zealand. While there I did private and group lessons and lectured on parenting.
Other than music I enjoy traveling, gardening, swimming, and being with my family and friends.

Are those the Moreaki boulders I spy there Sandi?

Hi Sandi, just a quick note to say thanks for your blog and the ideas it has given me!! I posted previously on my blog about a couple of your practice articles and have just got around to updating my links section to add you – perhaps you might light to reciprocate
All the best.
Hi, thanks for the comment on my blog. My son is interested in learning music. His plan for now is to start on piano and then move to guitar. We need to buy an electronic piano for financial and space reasons. I’m willing to shell out several hundred dollars to get something good. I’d love it if you could do a post on choosing a good instrument.
hello there, thanks for your comment in my blog. piano teachers, piano sheets & generally piano stuff are not easy to find here in Doha. i’ve found a bulgarian lady who can teach my daughter, she sounds professionally trained so i hope it’ll work out! would definitely drop by your blog regularly to get more tips!
Hey, I’ve been meaning to add you to my blogroll and JUST got around to it today. Sorry… Anyway, you’re added. Hope you’re still reading. – Stacy
